    Little Britain USA

    Little Britain USA is an American spin-off-continuation of British sketch show, Little Britain, produced and aired by HBO.

    As in the British series, Matt Lucas and David Walliams play the majority of the characters: originals such as Lou and Andy, Daffyd Thomas, Sebastian Love, Marjorie Dawes and Vicky Pollard, as well as new characters not previously seen in the British series.

    The first series started filming in March 2008 in Wilmington, North Carolina. HBO showed the first episode of the season in the United States on September 28, 2008; The Movie Network broadcast it in Canada the same day, followed by BBC One on October 3 in the UK.

    New guest-stars include Rachael Harris, Bob Stephenson, Paul Rudd, Hilarie Burton, Vivica A. Fox, and Sting. Michael Patrick Jann served as executive producer of the series and directed the majority of the shows. David Schwimmer directed studio-based segments of the show. Rosie O’Donnell also makes an appearance in a “Fat Fighters” segment.

    The series was released on DVD in the UK by 2entertain in August 2009.

    Taxicab Confessions

    Taxicab Confessions is a television series of hidden camera documentaries that have aired on HBO since January 1995. In segments taped in New York City and Las Vegas, the taxi drivers are also producers who steer both the vehicle and the conversations with passengers.

    When passengers enter the cab, they are recorded with several small cameras hidden in the taxi. The producer prompts passengers into discussing their past and/or present circumstances. This has led some participants to reflect on their life, recalling extreme tragedies or triumphs.

    Much is verbally or visually graphic, including explicit sex talk and sex acts performed in the back seat. At the end of the taxi ride, passengers are asked to sign waivers allowing the hidden camera footage to be used on the program, and footage of this revelation is sometimes seen during the closing credits.

    Separating the segments are short video montages showing life in the city, incorporating quick cuts of club interiors, flashing neon signage, strippers and the homeless, along with the series theme music, “Over the Rainbow” by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

    The series originated in New York, moved to Las Vegas and in recent years returned to New York.

    One Night Stand is an HBO stand-up series that first aired on February 15, 1989. The half-hour series aired weekly and featured stand-up comedy specials from some of the top performing comedians. The series originally comprised 55 specials over the course of its four years on HBO. Comedians who performed One Night Stand’s include Bill Hicks, Bill Maher, Colin Quinn, Dom Irrera, Gilbert Gottfried, Norm Macdonald, Eddie Griffin, Martin Lawrence, D.L. Hughley, Damon Wayans, Larry Miller, Ellen DeGeneres, Louis C.K., Charles Fleischer, and George Wallace. This first-run of the series ended in 1992, with repeats edited for language and time continuing for years over Comedy Central, a former sister network to HBO.

    One Night Stand returned on August 19, 2005. The series aired each Friday at midnight through October 21, 2005, showing a total of ten half-hour stand-up specials. Some of the comedians included are star of the HBO series Lucky Louie, Louis C.K., Jim Norton, Patrice O’Neal, Bill Burr, Bonnie McFarlane, Kevin Brennan, Omid Djalili, Flight of the Conchords, and more. The 2005 version was directed by Linda Mendoza.

    The Little Lulu Show is an animated television series, based on the Marjorie Henderson Buell comic book character Little Lulu. The show was produced by CINAR Animation after Marge’s death in 1993, and aired on HBO Family and Cartoon Network in the United States and on, CTV, and the Family Channel in Canada from 1995 to 1999.     The Ray Bradbury Theater

    The Ray Bradbury Theater is an anthology series that ran for two seasons on HBO, three episodes per season from 1985 to 1986, and four additional seasons on USA Network from 1988 to 1992. It was later shown in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel. All 65 episodes were written by Ray Bradbury and many were based on short stories or novels he had written, including “A Sound of Thunder”, “Marionettes, Inc.”, “Banshee”, “The Playground”, “Mars is Heaven”, “Usher II”, “The Jar”, “The Long Rain”, “The Veldt”, “The Small Assassin”, “The Pedestrian”, “The Fruit at the Bottom of the Bowl, “Here There Be Tygers”, “The Toynbee Convector”, and “Sun and Shadow”.

    Many of the episodes focused on only one of Bradbury’s original works. However, Bradbury occasionally included elements from his other works. “Marionettes, Inc.” featured Fantoccini, a character from “I Sing the Body Electric!”. “Gotcha!” included an opening sequence taken from “The Laurel and Hardy Love Affair.” Characters were renamed, and elements added to the original works to expand the story to 23–28 minutes or to better suit the television medium.

    Each episode would begin with a shot of Bradbury in his office, gazing over mementos of his life, which he states are used to spark ideas for stories. During the first season, Bradbury sometimes appeared on-screen in brief vignettes introducing the story. During the second season, Bradbury provided the opening narration with no specific embellishment concerning the episode. During the third season, a foreshortened version of the narration was used and Bradbury would add specific comments relevant to the episode presented. During the fourth and later seasons, a slightly shorter generic narration was used with no additional comments.
