As such, it was produced under the working title of The CGI Sketch Show. The show also contains strong language, adult humour and toilet humour.

    Phoo Action

    Phoo Action is a BBC Three 60 minute TV pilot, one of six drama pilots that were transmitted in early 2008, and was first broadcast on 12 February 2008 at 21:00 UTC. Phoo Action is based on the Jamie Hewlett-created strip Get The Freebies, which ran in The Face from June 1996 to June 1997. It stars Jaime Winstone as Whitey Action, Carl Weathers as Police Chief Benjamin “Ben” Benson and Eddie Shin as Terry Phoo.

    Ratings were reported at 232k.

    A full six-part series was commissioned to begin shooting later in 2008 for broadcast in 2009. However, just before production was due to begin the BBC announced that the series was cancelled.

    The show is set from the perspective of the disaffected teenage female protagonist, Whitey Action, who joins together with tough guy kung-fu cop Terry Phoo to form a dubious crime-fighting duo who thwart many mutant miscreants of The Freebies Gang on the streets of London in 2012.

    The screen adaptation was written by Matthew Enriquez Wakeham, Jessica Hynes and Peter Martin, and directed by Euros Lyn.

    Production began in September 2007 at a number of Glasgow locations. Some scenes were shot inside the main studio at BBC Scotland’s Pacific Quay Studios.

    Adam and Joe Go Tokyo was a series of eight episodes created for BBC Three. It starred Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish of The Adam and Joe Show and aired from 30 May 2003 to 25 July 2003. The aim of the show was to offer an alternative insight into the lives of Tokyo’s citizens, with the obligatory look at a number of gadgets and toys along the way. The show took the format of a mature Blue Peter outlining many pastimes of the average Japanese person, everything from competitive speed eating to manga cosplay. Each episode would end with a Japanese band joining the show to perform.

    Sinchronicity is a six-part drama series broadcast on BBC Three in the United Kingdom. Set in Manchester, the programme is narrated by Nathan and focuses on the love triangle of him, Fi, and Jase. The programme is executive produced by Julian Murphy, who was an executive producer on Channel 4’s As If and Sugar Rush and Sky One’s Hex. Stylistically similar to As If, following a non-linear narrative, it also features ex-cast members Paul Chequer, Jemima Rooper and Mark Smith and, as such, can be seen as its spiritual successor. The theme tune is “Boys Will Be Boys” by the Ordinary Boys. The show was filmed in high definition and was re-run on BBC HD in mid-October 2006.
