It aired on PBS’ Masterpiece Classic in the United States on 15 and 22 February 2009, in two ninety-minute installments. In Australia, ABC1 also opted to air this series as a two-part special each Sunday at 8:30 pm from 20 December 2009.

    In 2003, the critically acclaimed miniseries won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

It is based on the story of Shaka, king of the Zulu nation from 1816 to 1828, and the writings of the British traders who dealt with him. It aired in the U.S. in syndication. Harmony Gold USA partly funded Shaka Zulu in spite of economic sanctions. The series consisted of 10 episodes approximately 50 minutes each in length.     Centennial is a 12-episode American television miniseries that aired on NBC from October 1978 to February 1979. It was based on the novel of the same name by James A. Michener. The miniseries was produced by John Wilder.

    The miniseries follows the history of the area of the fictional town of Centennial, Colorado from the late 18th century to the 1970s. Its star-studded cast includes Michael Ansara, Raymond Burr, Richard Chamberlain, Robert Conrad, Barbara Carrera, Richard Crenna, Timothy Dalton, Sharon Gless, Andy Griffith, Mark Harmon, Gregory Harrison, David Janssen, Alex Karras, Brian Keith, Sally Kellerman, Stephen McHattie, Lois Nettleton, Donald Pleasence, Adrienne La Russa, Lynn Redgrave, Clive Revill, Robert Vaughn, Dennis Weaver, Anthony Zerbe, Stephanie Zimbalist, and numerous other well-known actors.

    The miniseries was one of the longest and most ambitious television projects ever attempted at the time. It had a then huge budget of US$25 million, employed four directors and five cinematographers, and featured over 100 speaking parts spanning 26 hours of television viewing time. Centennial was released on DVD on July 29, 2008.

    RBD: La Familia is a Mexican sitcom made by Televisa about the fictional lives of the Mexican group RBD. RBD and the producer, Pedro Damián, have stated that this sitcom is fictional and not really based on the real lives of the members of RBD. The characters of the sitcom are not similar to the soap opera Rebelde but are similar to the real people of RBD. Production finished in the first quarter of 2007, and RBD: La Familia debuted on March 14, 2007 on the SKY México channel in Mexico. The opening song for the sitcom is “Family”. Though “Quiero Poder”, a song written and sung by Dulce Maria in Spanish, is heavily featured in the show, it is also included on the RBD: La Familia compilation album. The show was confirmed finished by Christopher Ückermann.

    Jekyll is a British television drama serial produced by Hartswood Films and Stagescreen Productions for BBC One. The series also received funding from BBC America. Steven Moffat wrote all six episodes, with Douglas Mackinnon and Matt Lipsey each directing three episodes.

    The series is described by its creators as a sequel to the novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, rather than an adaptation of it, and the Robert Louis Stevenson tale is used within the series as a back story. It stars James Nesbitt as Tom Jackman, a modern-day descendant of Dr. Jekyll, who has recently begun transforming into a version of Mr. Hyde. Jackman is aided by psychiatric nurse Katherine Reimer, played by Michelle Ryan. Gina Bellman also appears as Claire, Tom’s wife.

    Filming took place at various locations around southern England in late 2006. The series was first transmitted on BBC One in June and July 2007, receiving mainly positive reviews.
