She went on to record her debut album, 1994’s platinum selling Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number, before finishing high school. In her brief career she recorded a total of four albums and collaborated with some of today’s most credible urban artists. SO MUCH MORE THAN A WOMAN is the complete and unauthorized biography of Aaliyah, containing exclusive and previously unseen film footage including in-depth interviews with those that worked closely with Aaliyah during her career, including journalists, producers, engineers and more. On August 25, 2001, Aaliyah and eight others were killed in a plane crash in The Bahamas after filming the music video for the single “Rock the Boat”. The pilot, Luis Morales III, was unlicensed at the time of the accident and had traces of cocaine and alcohol in his system.
