    Make Way for Noddy

    Make Way for Noddy is a British-American CGI-animated series for children, produced by Chorion of the United Kingdom in conjunction with SD Entertainment and Shari Lewis Enterprises in the United States. Based on Enid Blyton’s Noddy character, it originally aired in 12-minute segments as part of the Milkshake programme on Britain’s Five, from 2 September 2002 until 2008.

    On 5 January 2004, an American version of the series, with “Noddy and The New Taxi” as its first episode, was launched in the United States on PBS in a half-hour version. This version, although it retained the name Make Way for Noddy, was a longer format; it combined two of the 12-minute segments with new material. Along with the story episodes featuring Noddy and his friends, the PBS format included two interstitials, a music video and footage of British television presenter Naomi Wilkinson from Milkshake! The Say it With Noddy interstitials featured Noddy learning various foreign-language words from a robot named Whizz. Although most of the Noddy characters had been re-dubbed to remove their British accents, Naomi spoke with a strong British accent and used British English words and phrases in conversation. It features songs with music by Mark Sayer-Wade and lyrics by Judy Rothman.

The show is set in the beginning of the 22nd century and covers the interplanetary war between humanity and Neosapiens, a fictional race artificially created as workers/slaves for the Terrans. The narrative generally follows Able Squad, an elite Terran unit of mecha pilots, on their missions all over the Solar System, although other storylines are also abundant. The series ran for two complete seasons on USA Network and Fox, from 1993 to 1994, and was cancelled after one third-season episode had been produced.

    Beast Wars: Transformers

    Beast Wars: Transformers, titled Beasties: Transformers in Canada, is a Canadian CG animated television series that debuted in 1996, serving as the flagship of the Transformers: Beast Wars franchise. The series was set in the future of the “original” Transformers universe as a sequel to the first Transformers series.

    The Beast Wars TV series was produced by Mainframe Entertainment of Canada; its story editors were Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio. All three seasons are currently available on DVD in the USA and other Region 1 territories. In Australia, to coincide with the show’s tenth anniversary in 2006, Madman Entertainment released all three seasons in Region 4 format. These boxsets include “world exclusive” special features, such as commentaries and interviews with the voice actors.

    The production designer for the show, Clyde Klotz, won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in 1997 for his work on Beast Wars.

The series debuted on Cartoon Network on December 26, 2007, and has been shown on NickToons in the UK since February 2008. It is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and animated by The Answer Studio, MOOK DLE., and Studio 4°C . The series has 42 episodes across three seasons. The European Jetix began to air the series on September 10, 2008. The series began its broadcast in Japan on April 3, 2010, on both TV Aichi and TV Tokyo. The Japanese version of the cartoon was slightly rewritten to tie into Michael Bay’s Transformers trilogy.

    The show’s continuity is separate from any other previous Transformers series, despite using footage from the first series in its first episode as a historical film. Despite being a Cartoon Network original series, the show was aired on Nicktoons in the UK, Jetix/Disney XD in the rest of Europe and finally, back in the states on The Hub in high definition.
