    Voltron: The Third Dimension

    Voltron: The Third Dimension is an American computer-animated television series, done in the same animation style as Beast Wars: Transformers and Reboot. It departed from the original Lion Voltron’s animated look, as well as some character changes, such as the physical appearance of Prince Lotor. It served as a sequel to the Lion Voltron series, set three years after the end of that program, and among the tools used to bridge the gap was an official starmap as designed by writer Shannon Muir, and finalized in partnership with World Events Productions. The show was animated by Mike Young Productions. The show won a 1999 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Sound Editing – Special Class Rick Hinson, Elizabeth Hinson. Legal issues occurred when WEP tried to make a new series. Neil Ross, Michael Bell and B.J. Ward reprised their roles as Keith, Lance and Princess Alura for the series.

    Mad Jack the Pirate

    Mad Jack the Pirate is a short lived 1990s cartoon. The show was created by Bill Kopp and was directed by Jeff DeGrandis. On American television, the show was broadcast on Fox Kids.

    The concept is of the adventures of the rather unsuccessful and cowardly Pirate Jack who despite his failures never doubts his own excellence and his dim-witted anthropomorphic rat sidekick Snuk as they sail the seas on their ship the Sea Chicken.

    Often noticed by fans and viewers of the show is its similarity to the BBC comedy series Blackadder. Similarities of the main characters: Jack to Edmund Blackadder and Snuk to Baldrick and even almost identical quotes from the series. Even Jack’s archenemy Flash is not unlike Lord Flashheart and Angus is similar to McAngus. Currently, in some countries, the cartoon has DVD & VCD Editions. Also in Turkey, the cartoon was shown on Jetix Play and in Poland on Fox Kids.

    On July 23, 2001, Mad Jack and other properties of Saban Entertainment were sold to The Walt Disney Company.

    Histeria!

    Histeria! is an American animated series created by Tom Ruegger and produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Unlike other animated series produced by Warner Bros. in the 1990s, Histeria! stood out as the most explicitly educational program in order to meet FCC requirements for educational/informational content for children.

    Histeria! was featured on Kids’ WB from 1998 to 2000. Kids WB continued to air reruns until August 30, 2001. It was to be WB’s most ambitious project since Animaniacs. Like the aforementioned, there were 65 episodes that were originally going to be made, but due to being $10 million over budget, only 52 episodes were completed before production of the series was canceled in November 1998. More recently, the show was featured on In2TV, first from March to July 2006, and then returning in October of that year. In January 2009, all of the episodes were taken off the site. No DVD set has yet been announced.

    Histeria! may have been influenced by 1978 French TV series Il était une fois l’homme. The French series featured the familiar series cast reappears as the contemporary figures of every historical time. Another possible influence is the 1988 miniseries This is America, Charlie Brown, which featured the cast of Peanuts interspersed within various events in American history.
