A Case for Murder (1993)
Jack Hammett is an aggressive young defence attorney on the rise up the corporate ladder. In the courtroom he’s known as the “Hail Mary Kid” for his ability to win the unwinnable cases. When one of the firm’s lawyers, Darren Gaines, is murdered and Gaines’ wife is charged, Hammett is assigned as her attorney. Hammett asks Kate Weldon, a recently hired lawyer, to assist him. Together they discover some inconsistencies in the case as well as a possible connection to the recent murder of a judge.

A British woman visits her husband at the Mexican mine he is attempting to reopen and discovers that the workers refuse to enter the mine fearing an ancient curse. The couple enter the mine to prove there is no danger and inadvertently release a demon which possess people’s left hands and forces them to behave in a suitably diabolical manner. The only way for a possessed person to free themselves from this torment is to cut off their left hand after which it scurries away in search of its next victim.

Dissatisfied with the family architectural business, a man and his wife pack up and move out to his great-grandfather’s old house in the country. While trying to patch it up, the house starts to make it clear to him that it doesn’t want him there, but the local church (with some off-kilter practices of their own) seems to take a shine to him.

The Light at the Edge of the World (1971)
Pirates take over a lighthouse on a rocky island. They then execute a devious plan to cause ships to run aground, pillaging their wrecks. A lone member of the lighthouse crew survives, and he deperately fights their plot. A shipwrecked maiden that avoids the pirates slaughter soon complicates the situation.
