    Out of Tune

    Out of Tune was a British children’s TV sitcom which was shown on CBBC from 1996 to 1998.

    It features a group of fictional children that belong to a church choir at a school and their practice sessions. However the choir is humorously bad, hence the name ‘Out of Tune’, and the practice sessions are often interrupted by one thing or another. The show aired at 4:35 on BBC1 on Tuesday and Wednesday and it had a total of 40 episodes over three series. The first series started on 14 February 1996 and finished on 4 June later that year. The last episode was aired on 9 June 1998.

    Cruise of the Gods

    Cruise of the Gods was a one-off comedy/drama produced by Baby Cow Productions for the BBC. It starred Rob Brydon, Steve Coogan, David Walliams and James Corden. It aired in 2002 and has since been released on BBC DVD.

    Written by Tim Firth, with additional material by Michael Marshall Smith and Peter Baynham, it told the story of a fan cruise held in honour of The Children of Castor, a fictitious 1980s post-apocalyptic sci-fi TV series, starring Andy Van Allen and Nick Lee. Twenty years after the show’s cancellation, Van Allen is the reluctant special guest on the fan cruise. For Van Allen, The Children of Castor was the height of his fame, whilst Lee went on to bigger and better things, currently Sherlock Holmes in Miami.

    Brian Conley and Jack Jones made cameo appearances as themselves.

It aired on BBC television in 2009. The first episode was broadcast on 10 March 2009 on BBC Three. It is presented by and stars Mathew Horne and James Corden in front of a live audience, featuring pre-recorded sketches and vignettes filmed in a studio with an audience. Several episodes featured a song and dance routine as their finale. The first episode attracted the highest ratings for a comedy show debut on BBC Three. However, ratings quickly dropped throughout the show’s run.

    In Australia, all six episodes were also aired on ABC2 from 1 September to 6 October 2009 in the Thursday 9pm timeslot.
