    Auto-B-Good is an American animated series. The series features short stories set in the fictional City of Auto, in which all the citizens are cars. The program is designed to teach children lessons in moral character and values. Auto-B-Good was produced by Wet Cement Productions, a Minnesota-based animation studio. In 2005 it won an Emmy award for graphics/animation in the non-news category and also was the recipient of three Telly Awards and three Aurora Awards. In 2006, Auto-B-Good won 4 more Emmy Awards for Audio/Post Production, Musical Composition/Arrangement, Graphic Arts and Animation, Children/Youth Program Feature/Segment/Special.

    The Eyes of Nye

    The Eyes of Nye was a science program airing on public television in the United States in 2005 and featuring Bill Nye. The show was more sophisticated than its predecessor Bill Nye the Science Guy, as it was aimed more toward adults and teenagers than children. All episodes were rated TV-G, except for “Addiction” and “The Evolution of Sex”, both rated TV-PG. The creation of the show was motivated by the success of the television program Bill Nye the Science Guy, as well as a widespread contempt among scientists for scientific journalism in the media. The program was based in Seattle, Washington, produced by Buena Vista Television and broadcast during primetime by KCTS, the local PBS affiliate.

    The World of Chemistry

    The World of Chemistry is a television series on introductory chemistry hosted by Nobel prize-winning chemist Roald Hoffmann. The series consists of 26 half-hour video programs, along with coordinated books, which explore various topics in chemistry through experiments conducted by Stevens Point emeritus professor Don Showalter the “series demonstrator” and interviews with working chemists, it also includes physics and earth science related components. The series was produced by the University of Maryland, College Park and the Educational Film Center and was funded by the Annenberg/CPB Project, it was filmed in 1988 and first aired on PBS in 1990. This series supports science standards recognized nationally by the United States and is still widely used in high school and college chemistry courses. The entire series is currently available on learner.org for free in an online video streaming format.

    Austin City Limits is an American public television music program recorded live in Austin, Texas by Public Broadcasting Service Public television member station KLRU, and broadcast on many PBS stations around the United States. The show helped Austin to become widely known as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” and is the only television show to receive the National Medal of Arts, which it was awarded in 2003.

    Initially created to celebrate the music of Texas—featuring western swing, Texas blues, Tejano music, progressive country, and rock n’ roll—the series has gone on to feature regional, national and international artists performing a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, alternative country, alternative rock, folk music, and jam band.

    Wishbone

    Wishbone is a children’s television show that aired from 1995 to 1997 in the United States. The show’s title character is a Jack Russell Terrier of the same name. Wishbone lives with his owner Joe Talbot in the fictional modern town of Oakdale, Texas. He daydreams about being the lead character of stories from classic literature He was known as “the little dog with a big imagination”. Only the viewers and the characters in his daydreams can hear Wishbone speak. The characters from his daydreams see Wishbone as whatever famous character he is currently portraying and not as a dog. The show won four Daytime Emmies, a Peabody Award, and honors from the Television Critics Association. Wishbone’s exterior shots were filmed on the backlot of Lyrick Studios’s teen division Big Feats! Entertainment in Allen, Texas, and its interior shots were filmed on a sound stage in a 50,000 square foot warehouse in Plano, Texas.

    The theme song was written by Tim Cissell and Lynn Adler.

    This show garnered particular praise for refusing to bowdlerise many of the sadder or more unpleasant aspects of the source works, which usually enjoyed a fairly faithful retelling in the fantasy sequences.
