Hum Tum
PKR 550Two old friends Asif and Shagufta meet each other after a very long time and come to know about each other’s circumstances. Shagufta’s husband had divorced her while Asif’s wife died at the time of their third child. They decide to marry each other but their teenaged children oppose this. But Asif weds Shagufta and brings her home, the younger children accept this wedding but Ali, the eldest son of Asif, and Amal, the eldest daughter of Shagufta, who hate each other, refuse to give in. After a while their hatred alleviate lessen and later they start liking each other. Asif’s business takes a downturn and he, with his family, has to move to a flat. Here, the new neighbors object to Ali and Amal’s interest in each other. The story comes to a point where, due to the narrow-minded voices of the society, new relations are not allowed to prosper in order to save old ones.

Ek Nazer Meri Taraf
PKR 825According to the religion Islam a widow has a right to re marry after 4 months of isolation in ‘Iddat’. She has the right to marry the man of her choice but in our culture people usually raise fingers as they have objections on a widow marrying someone else. They want her to stay in the same house in isolation or else it would bring a bad name to the family thus failing to realize that our own religion Islam has given the woman her due right to re-marry. This story revolves around this concept with the lead character being Siffat who is 21 years old and is married to Haider. Haider has two other brothers Faris and Raza who are nice to Siffat but their mother Shamshad Baigam is a strong character who likes to give orders and wants people to do what she commands them to do. Faris did not get along well with his married life and had to finally divorce and is living with his mother along with his son. Haider actually has an affair going on with someone else whom he hides from Siffat.

Doraha
PKR 550Shahla and Umer are cousins living in the same neighbourhood. They both belong to middle families, but as Shahla is the only girl of her parents her family is better off than Umer’s. Umer is six years older than Shahla and adores her like a little sister. But Shahla fancies him and tries to show him her feelings time and again by making him Biryani and many other delicious dishes. Umer is doing his graduation and is in love with his fellow University mate Sara (Sonia Rehman), who belongs to a sound family and when she tells her parents (Mohammed Ahmed, Ismat Zaidi) about Umer’s proposal, they immediately refuse to give permission. But that gets sorted and her parents give their permission for this marriage. However, Umer’s mother (Badar Khalil), who wanted Shahla and Umer to get married, refuses to accept her new daughter-in-law and doesn’t even pretend to be happy on their wedding day.

In a desperate bid to escape the feelings of old age, Saulat finds himself drawing closer to Rida, a young woman in her late twenties who works for Saulat’s company. As the two spend more and more time together, Saulat sees a whole new side to himself and realizes just how vibrant and energetic he can actually be if he’s with the ‘right’ person. As the headiness of this new found excitement begins taking over his life, Saulat finds life with his wife Zeb increasingly dull and boring.

Writer Bina brings a story for a serial to a TV director Asim who is working for a local channel and during work they fall in love and later get married. A Sikh heroine Surendar Kaur (AKA Shahla) is brought from across the border, who stays at Asim and Bina’s home. Asim’s father Salman is the owner of the city’s biggest ad agency. His wife Zaini always feels inferior to him. When the production begins, Asim’s maximum time is spent with Shahla. When Bina gives ideas for the production, she is cut short by Asim who ask her to deal only with the domestic affairs. Asim and Shahla get closer and closer as she feels Asim could be her stepping stone while Asim has fallen in love with her. Bina has not been able to conceive so Asim marries Surendar. Salman meets Soofia, who is the daughter of his manager and a homely and hard working girl. Salman asks his manager for her hand in marriage which makes the manager very happy!! But life is not so simple!!
