Watchmen (Original)
This brisk comedy of errors, penned by two-time onscreen lovers Paloma Baeza and Cillian Murphy, stakes out multiple perspectives on a series of bumbling petty crimes. From the window of their walk-up flat, pals Phil (Murphy) and Ray (Sunburn’s Barry Ward) witness two unlucky fools being accosted by a policeman on the city street below about a nearby robbery. After one bloke runs from the cop, the other quickly stashes a package behind a drainpipe and hides. Ray races down to retrieve the package, much to the chagrin of the more uptight Phil. Soon Ray is rolling joints, a reluctant Phil—who smokes anyway—is considering their options, and the situation outside is getting more complicated.
