The Kid from Spain (1932)
Eddie and his Mexican friend Ricardo are expelled from college after Ricardo put Eddie in the girl’s dormitory when he was drunk. Per chance Eddie gets mixed up in a bank robbery and is forced to drive the robbers to safety. To get rid of him they force him to leave the USA for Mexico, but a cop is following him. Eddie meets Ricardo there, Ricardo helps him avoid being arrested by the cop when he introduces Eddie as the great Spanish bullfighter Don Sebastian II. The problem is, the cop is still curious and has tickets for the bullfight. Eddie’s situation becomes more critical, when he tries to help Ricardo to win the girl he loves, but she’s engaged to a “real” Mexican, who is, unknown to her father, involved in illegal business. While trying to avoid all this trouble, Eddie himself falls in love with his friend’s girl friend’s sister Rosalie, who also want to see the great Don Sebastian II to kill the bull in the arena.

Wild Girl (1932)
Bret Harte’s story Salomy Jane’s Kiss provided the basis for a play (by Paul Armstrong and a number of films, including 1932’s Wild Girl. Set in the High Sierras at the end of the Civil War, the “wild girl” of the title is Salome Jane Clay (Joan Bennett). Rather tomboyish and determined, she isn’t the vixen that the title suggests; as a matter of fact, she is upset and angry over a man who has tried to take liberties with her. A stranger Charles Farrell shows up, looking for the same man who has incurred Jane’s enmity. Farrell has a score to settle, for this man ruined the life and reputation of Farrell’s sister. He shoots him, then flees the town with Jane’s help. They are pursued by numerous individuals; as they overcome various obstacles, they find themselves falling in love.

Payment Deferred (1932)
Bank clerk William Marble is desperate for money to pay his family’s bills. When his wealthy nephew visits, Marble asks him for a loan, but the young man refuses. Marble decides to kill his nephew. It is a twisted path to justice after Marble is transformed by the crime he committed and the wealth he gains.

Sherlock Holmes (1932)
Moriarty is sentenced to death, and Sherlock Holmes prepares to retire to the country and marry his girl (sic). But Moriarty has sworn that Holmes, Lt-Col Gore-King of Scotland Yard, and his trial judge shall all be hanged too. When Moriarty escapes and proceeds to put his threat into operation, Holmes has to postpone his retirement.

Their First Mistake (1932)
Mrs Hardy is annoyed that her husband Oliver seems to spend more time with his friend Stanley than with her. After a furious argument, Mrs Hardy says that she is through if Ollie goes out with Stan again. Stan suggests that Ollie adopts a baby, which he does. Unfortunately, his wife has left their apartment on returning, and a process server delivers a paper informing Ollie that she is suing him for divorce, naming Stan as correspondent. The boys are now left to look after the infant on their own.
