It took place on December 17, 2000 at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The main event was between Scott Steiner and Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The event also featured a tag team match between the Perfect Event defending against the Insiders for the WCW World Tag Team Championship and a rematch between Lex Luger and Goldberg. The under card featured Jeff Jarrett & The Harris Brothers in a Bunkhouse Street Fight against The Filthy Animals, General Rection defending the WCW United States Championship against Shane Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow vs Mike Awesome, KroniK vs Big Vito & Reno, Crowbar defending the WCW Hardcore Championship against Terry Funk, The Cat vs Lance Storm, and The Jung Dragons vs Jamie Noble & Evan Karagias vs 3 Count in a Ladder match.

James Brown made a surprise appearance at the event, performing with Ernest Miller during his in ring skit with The Maestro. WCW Souled Out 2000 (2000)
$15.00Souled Out 2000 took place on January 16, 2000 from the Firstar Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The originally scheduled card was heavily changed, due to the serious injuries of Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Hart, who was scheduled to wrestle Sid Vicious, suffered a severe concussion at Starrcade, which forced him to vacate the WCW World Heavyweight title, and eventually retire nine months later. Jarrett, who was scheduled to wrestle Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Theater series (Dungeon Rules, Bunkhouse, Caged Heat), suffered lingering headaches from Benoit’s diving headbutt off the top of the steel cage on the January 10 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which forced him to vacate the WCW United States Heavyweight title. Benoit was instead moved to take Hart’s place against Vicious and the Triple Threat Theater series was contested between Billy Kidman and three separate wrestlers.

WCW Mayhem 1999 (1999)

The primary focus of this event was a tournament for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, with the semi-finals and finals held at the PPV. Wrestlers who made it to the semi-finals and competed were Chris Benoit, Jeff Jarrett, Sting, and Bret Hart. There was also a tournament for the inaugural WCW Hardcore Championship with the final match between Brian Knobs and Norman Smiley being held at this PPV. The main event was Kevin Nash & Sting defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Savage & Sid Vicious, with the stipulation that whoever got the pin would win the title. Roddy Piper fought Buff Bagwell in a boxing match, The Jersey Triad (DDP, Kanyon, & Bam Bam Bigelow) defended the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Saturn & Chris Benoit, The No Limit Soldiers had a rematch against The West Texas Rednecks, David Flair defended the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Dean Malenko, Rick Steiner defended the WCW World Television Championship against Van Hammer, and Ernest Miller wrestled Disco Inferno. There was also a “Junkyard Invitational” for the WCW Hardcore Trophy involving 14 competitors.
