    Shichiri Tasuke’s parents are always travelling around the world, so he basically lives alone. His life seems pretty boring and carefree until an artefact from China sent by his father makes a goddess appear: Shugogetten Shaorin is dedicated to protecting her master by summoning little spirits each with a unique power. If that is not enough, a second goddess appears: Keikounitten Ruaan, who can breathe life into objects. Her goal is to make Tasuke happy. Both goddesses are not very skilful though and cause a lot of trouble instead. Tasuke’s peaceful and carefree days definitely seem to be over…

    Casshern Sins is a reboot of the classic anime series Casshan, produced by Tatsunoko and animated by Madhouse. It premiered in Japan on October 1, 2008, following a sneak preview of the first episode at Otakon 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland.

    The series completely discards the continuity presented in the original Casshan anime series, in which Casshern was a cybernetic superhero battling the evil robotic forces of Braiking Boss in a post-apocalyptic Earth.However, one could argue that this series could actually function as a prequel to the original Casshan series, as the events in Casshern Sins actually lead to events similar to that of the start of Casshan. In Casshern Sins, Casshern is presented as a cyborg subordinate of Braiking Boss who was ordered to assassinate the savior of mankind, and has thus doomed the Earth to ruin. Casshern Sins made its English broadcast premiere on Funimation Channel on December 21, 2010. A manga adaptation is published in Jive’s Monthly Comic Rush Magazine.

Powerpuff Girls Z, known in some other countries as Powerpuff Girls Z, or PPGZ for short, is a magical girl anime series based on the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. The anime is co-produced by Cartoon Network Japan and Aniplex and was animated by Toei Animation, featuring character design by Miho Shimogasa. As production occurred in Japan, Craig McCracken, the original creator of The Powerpuff Girls, was not directly involved with the project.

    The 52-episode series aired in Japan on TV Tokyo between July 1, 2006, and June 30, 2007. It also aired on AT-X and on Cartoon Network in Japan. An English-dubbed version produced by Ocean Group aired by Cartoon Network Philippines on their Boomerang channel in 2008. A manga of the same name ran in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine between July 2006 and June 2007.

    Ojamajo Doremi, known as Magical DoReMi in the US, is a magical girl anime television series created by Toei Animation in 1999. It focuses on elementary school students who become witch apprentices. Led by Doremi Harukaze, the girls must maintain their double lives in secret.

    Ojamajo Doremi has been followed up by three direct sequels, lasting until its end in 2003. During the television series’ runtime, two companion films were released in theaters. The English dub, produced by 4Kids Entertainment, released a preview episode in the US airing on August 13, 2005, and the first episode on September 10, 2005.
