The series aired on TV Asahi between April 4, 1998, and October 10, 1998. An animated film based on the series was released in Japanese theatres on March 6, 1999. The opening theme is “A Cry of Thirst” by Field of View whilst the ending theme is “Even If You Break Tomorrow” by Wands. The series was followed by a different adaptation produced by Nihon Ad Systems and Konami, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, which began airing in 2000. Fans outside of Japan have dubbed this series as “Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero.”

    Unbeknownst to Miaka, Yui has been sucked back into the real world. Back in the library, all she can do is read on as her childhood friend sets out for the city to find the mysterious young boy and save her friend.

    But what awaits for Miaka isn’t what either of the girls expect – and now Miaka’s only way back to her world is to become the Priestess of Suzaku and save their world.

    Toei Animation describes it as an “original anime story”, separate from the continuity of Kurumada’s manga. Original Saint Seiya author Kurumada is not involved in the creative process of Omega, thus he is credited as the original creator of the series’ concept.

    Angel Links is an anime television series produced by Sunrise Studio. It was originally aired across the Japanese WOWOW television network from April 7 to June 30, 1999. It is a spin-off of the manga Outlaw Star by Takehiko Itō. Angel Links follows the 16 year-old protagonist, Meifon Li, who becomes the head of a corporation dedicated to saving transportation companies in outer space from pirates for free, as per her grandfather’s dying wish. As the series progresses, she learns a terrifying secret about her grandfather and the reason for his wish.

    A series of light novels titled Hoshi Hou Yuugeki Tai Enjieru Rinkusu, written and illustrated by Ibuki Hideaki, began publication prior to the anime series. The anime was released in the U.S. by Bandai. The characters Duuz and Valeria are from an episode of Outlaw Star titled “Law and Lawlessness”, and work for Meifon, although there are several differences in their character and personalities between the two shows.
